An organisation wishing to become a DCMI Partner needs to contact the DCMI Managing Director and provide its name and address information, its products and/or services.
The applicant needs to be an incorporated entity, represented for the purposes of the Partnership agreement by its authorised representative. The applicant needs to be involved in activities that support, promote or implement the use of Dublin Core metadata, to be demonstrated by authorised documentation describing these activities. In addition, the applicant needs to support the principles of DCMI as laid down in: http://dublincore.org/about/overview/, http://dublincore.org/documents/workstructure/, http://dublincore.org/about/organization/, http://dublincore.org/about/copyright/, http://dublincore.org/about/privacy/, and the general and specific conditions of the Partnership program and the program option chosen.
The DCMI Managing Director, in consultation with the DCMI Oversight Committee, reviews the application and supporting documentation and accepts or rejects the application (with reasons in case of rejection). In case of multi-annual agreements, the agreement is reviewed annually.
After positive decision, the applicant will receive a Partnership Agreement and an invoice. Agreements are concluded for a minimum of one year and come into effect after reception of both the payment and the signed agreement.
