> AccessForAllSession

DC2006 in Mexico, September 2006.

The Accessibility Working Group session will be held 16.30 - 18.30, October 5 (Manzanillo local time and date).

Participants are encouraged to read the three part FCD for this standard (ISO 24751) prior to the Working Group session (see Working Group home page for details - http://dublincore.org/groups/access).

This is the home page for this session. Details will be posted here. There is also a ConferenceContributionsPage

Remote participation is being welcomed (technology permitting). For this, we are proposing to use a free conference calling system. Participants can phone in to the US number and hopefully it will be connected within the room so everyone can hear and contribute. Call +1-641-297-5700 and then use the code 681243# to enter the conference call.

In case this does not work, please watch this wiki page for up-to-date instructions.

Agenda for the session

The aim of the session is to discuss the application profile work that has been done to date and to propose the development of a matching application profile for the accessibility needs and preferences of users who are having problems with access. These two profiles will follow the new ISO IEC JTC1 SC36 AccessForAll model to enable users to state their accessibility needs and to have resources and services matched to them by accessibility services (such as TILE).

There will be a brief introduction to the AccessForAll model and the SC36 standards before participants are asked to consider what should be done and how to implement these standards for Dublin Core users.
