NISO has begun the activity to approve Dublin Core 1.1 as an American National Standard.
The effort to begin the standardization process for the Dublin Core was balloted and approved by the Voting Membership.
However NISO, like CEN, decided to wait for the formalization of DC 1.1 before proceding.
