Sponsoring DCMI 2019

DCMI, in partnership with the National Library of Korea, is proud to hold its 19th Annual Conference. This year's theme is "metadata innovation".

In addition to the conference-proper (papers, panels and posters) we will host workshops and tutorials, as well as three extra events:

  • Doctoral Forum: a venue for doctoral students from around the world to discuss their dissertation research projects with invited senior researchers and other participating students.
  • Best Practice Day: a day-long meeting with presentations from institutions that have implemented sound and innovative metadata systems, so that they share their experiences and insights with the DCMI community.
  • Hack day: to provide an informal space for playing with new technologies, brainstorming new ideas, forming new collaborations, or simply sharing work, with a focus on Application Profiles, FAIR data principles, Wikidata, and Wikibase.

We invite you to partner with us for the event which will take place in Seoul, from 23rd - 26th September, 2019.

Who will attend?

The DCMI Annual Conference brings together a unique mixture of metadata experts, including information management professionals, teachers, students, researchers and developers. Dublin Core™ stands for universal metadata interoperability, and the conference has become known as a venue for discussion and collaboration between groups and individuals working on similar problems in different contexts.

Previous conferences have drawn 100-150 participants from around the world, and we anticipate a similar number this year.

Why Sponsor?

Your sponsorship of this event demonstrates your support for the global metadata community. DCMI 2019 offers many opportunities to promote your brand throughout the conference program in various events, plenary and parallel sessions, special programs and social activities.

DCMI 2019 is an opportunity to showcase products and services, and to communicate with national and international leaders in the metadata research and practitioner communities. Through sponsorship, you will reach an audience representing universities, libraries, public administration, cultural heritage and businesses.
