Work on gathering use cases has been carried out by [MAILTO]Lara Whitelaw of [WWW]The Open University, and [MAILTO]Sarah Currier of Intrallect Ltd. This work was due for completion by 29 February 2008; the use cases and usage scenarios gathered are now available here on the wiki on the use cases page.

Meanwhile, Task Group member [MAILTO]Phil Barker of [WWW]Heriot Watt University / [WWW]JISC CETIS has been developing a [WWW]Draft Learning Materials Domain Model as part of the JISC-funded [WWW]Learning Materials Application Profile Scoping Study. The LMAP Expert Group met in Glasgow, Scotland on 5 March 2008. Phil will be reporting back on the outcome of this meeting at the Task Group webconference, particularly with reference to the domain model and how the Task Group and the study participants can continue to work together.

In addition, the EC-funded ProLEARN consortium, led by Task Group member [MAILTO]Mikael Nilsson, have published a very useful [WWW]Harmonization of Metadata Standards document, which is also well worth a read and highly relevant to this Group.

Task Group Membership

The Task Group consists of [WWW]DC-Ed Community members who are willing to take on specific tasks. Input of the wider community will be sought at every opportunity.

If you would like to offer your assistance to the Task Group, please contact DC-Ed Community Moderators, [MAILTO]Diane Hillmann or [MAILTO]Sarah Currier.

There is a spreadsheet listing current Task Group members [WWW]here.
