  * apropos (but something of a digression), Bill talked about his Taxonomic Database Working Group (TDWG) meeting poster, "A Framework and Workflow for Extraction and Parsing of Herbarium Specimen Data" (with IMLS funding)
    * for this the project adopted Darwin Core (working with John Wieczorek, UCB)
    * Bill and Jane are looking at application profiles instead extensions for Darwin Core
    * Also working with Dave Vieglais and GBIF
    * jane working with DSPs -- will send in poster to KAP list
