Ying Ding was going to do a distance presentation (slides + skype) but it was not possible due to technical problems. Nevertheless you can access [WWW]a recent D-Lib article that she has co-authored.

If you are not sure what 'social tagging' is all about, or keen to explain it to others, you might be interested in the explanation at http://blip.tv/file/331587/ This is a very neat little video.

For the tagging community, we have English and machine translations into French and Italian and a real translation into Japanese. Please help us correct the translations or add others if you are a native speaker of another language... wiki pages can be in any language so to add a discussion page for a different language, go to the issues page (DiscussionIssues) or the tagging practices description page (TaggingExamples). If you have translations of this front page, please contact me via the list - Liddy.

This wiki is for the community considering the relationship between tagging and metadata, especially DC metadata. It should be used for documents to be considered by the community but the email list should be used to post information about activities on this wiki. It is hoped that both the email list and the wiki can be used to best advantage so contributors to the wiki must register and others are advised to subscribe to receive updates to things of interest (this also requires registration).

This is a maintained wiki and all registration details will be kept private following the regular DCMI practices.

Ce wiki est pour la communauté considérant le rapport entre étiqueter et metadata, particulièrement metadata de DC. Il devrait être employé pour des documents à considérer par la communauté mais la liste d'email devrait être employée pour signaler des informations sur des activités sur ce wiki.
