"Revisions to DCMI Metadata Terms" as a Usage Board decision document
-- http://stage.dublincore.org/usage/decisions/2007/01/index.shtml

...on the basis of the Singapore meeting notes:
   http://dublincore.org/usage/minutes/2007/2007-08-26.dcub-meeting-notes.html
   http://dublincore.org/usage/minutes/2007/2007-08-26.dcub-meeting-notes-raw.html (raw notes)

Issues with the meeting notes (w.r.t. "Revisions")
-- see http://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/cgi-bin/webadmin?A2=ind0711&L=dc-usage&P=2433

   1. Corrected names of dcterms:created, etc... okay?
   2. Corrected definition of dcterms:conformsTo... okay?
   3. "the Getty Thesaurus" or just "Getty Thesaurus"?
   4. "could take classification somewhere"??

Changes made between July public-comment version and December draft decision

... with regard term to descriptions of terms
    http://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/cgi-bin/webadmin?A2=ind0711&L=dc-usage&P=2660

VOLUNTEER NEEDED to double-check the changes recorded in this posting
with the meeting notes (twenty minutes at most).

... with regard to everything else besides descriptions of terms
   http://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/cgi-bin/webadmin?A2=ind0711&L=dc-usage&P=3015

   1. Action on Tom to correct errors. Check on call - done?
   2. Action on Tom to correct reference in Intro to RFC 4646. Check on call - done?
   3. UB policy on declaring new "replacement" terms. Discuss on call - okay as written?
   4. "Term type" of member terms of DCMI Type Vocabulary. Discussion on call - okay?
   5. Other changes noted...

Issues arising from the Singapore discussion of "Revisions to DCMI Metadata Terms"

-- Issues with dcterms:coverage (from Singapore)
   http://dublincore.org/usageboardwiki/IssuesWithCoverage

   Owner needed for this issue.

-- Issues with dcterms:subject (from Singapore)
   http://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/cgi-bin/webadmin?A2=ind0711&L=dc-usage&P=3137

ACTION 2007-08-25: (Someone?) to post a known list
of issues to the UB list (1) for subject -- if read
as inclusive, the list of examples is incomplete, (2)
classification codes is misleading because it misses
   classification captions (use classification expressions
instead), (3) 'spatial' and 'temporal' are "correct"
but 'coverage' is too broad -- it allows for topic and
this is in conflict with 'subject' [TK] -- but this is
   an Application Profile issue [TB].

   Owner needed for this issue.
