DCMI Education Committee
The DCMI Education Committee coordinates activities and publications that teach and inform users about current developments and technologies for metadata. The committee organizes webinars and tutorials and commissions blog posts for audiences ranging from newcomers to experts, including teachers of metadata in both academic and professional settings

Marcia Zeng
Marcia Lei Zeng, Chair of the DCMI Education Committee, is a Professor at School of Information of Kent State University. Her research interests include knowledge organization systems -- taxonomies, thesauri, ontologies, etc.
Karen M. Wickett
Karen M. Wickett is an Assistant Professor in the School of Information Sciences at the University of Illinois. Her research areas include information organization, metadata and knowledge organization systems, data curation, and conceptual and logical foundations of information systems.
Jia Junzhi
Jun-Zhi Jia is a Professor at the School of Information Resource Management, Renmin University of China. With a Ph.D. from the University of Wuhan and a solid background in Library and Information Science, her expertise spans metadata, information retrieval, and network knowledge organization.
Imma Subirats Coll
Imma Subirats is a senior knowledge and information management officer at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).
Farrah Diana Saiful Bahry
Farrah Diana Saiful Bahry is a senior lecturer and researcher since 10 years ago. Currently, she beholds a post as Head centre of Studies in Informatics at the Faculty of Information Management, Universiti Teknologi MARA.
Tom Baker
Tom Baker has worked on metadata and Semantic Web standards since the late 1990s, when he helped start the Dublin Core Metadata Initiative for which he currently serves as DCMI Technology Director and Usage Board Chair.
Gema Bueno-de-la-Fuente
Gema Bueno de la Fuente has a PhD. in Information Science from the Carlos III University of Madrid (2010), a bachelor’s degree in Information Science from the UC3M (2003) with National Award, and a bachelor’s degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Zaragoza (2001).
Jennifer Campbell-Meier
Jennifer's current research involves digital inclusion and information seeking, examining what information and technology individuals need in specific environments. She also researches the management and evaluation of library services, especially those services involving organisational change, especially change that impacts information seeking.
Elisa Cerveira
Elisa Cerveira is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Porto and a member of the Department of Communication and Information Sciences Executive Committee.
Inkyung Choi
Inkyung Choi is an associate research scientist for the OCLC Research with a focus on data science and metadata research, and community engagement on next generation cataloging practices.
L. P. Coladangelo
L.P. Coladangelo is a doctoral student in the College of Communication and Information at Kent State University in Kent, Ohio. He holds an MLIS from Kent State University’s School of Information and a BA from Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, New York.
Yunkyong Kim
Yunhyong Kim is a Lecturer in the School of Humanities. She has a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Cambridge and an MSc in Speech and Language Processing from the University of Edinburgh.

Sam Oh is a Distinguished Professor for Global Affairs at Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU, established in 1398) in Seoul, Korea and an Affiliate Professor at University of Washington (UW) iSchool.
Francisco Carlos Paletta
Francisco Carlos Paletta is a Professor at School of Communication and Arts of University of São Paulo. His research interests include Digital Humanities, Information Technology Systems, Data Science and Analytics, Machine Learning, Information and Knowledge Organization, Linked Data, Metadata, Web of Things, and Open Science.
Magnus Pfeffer
Magnus Pfeffer is professor for information management at Stuttgart Media University, Germany. His research interests include linked data, metadata integration, information retrieval in heterogeneous datasets and machine learning.

Catherine is a Course Coordinator and Lecturer in University of South Australia, STEM with specialisations in Metadata and Descriptive Cataloguing. She has qualifications and experiences in Information Management, Information Technology and Education, with a passion for metadata and learning.
Chiranthi Wijesundara
Chiranthi Wijesundara is a Senior Librarian at the University of Colombo and a visiting lecturer attached to the National Institute of Library and Information Sciences (NILIS), University of Colombo, Sri Lanka.
